The RBB is a small "booster" that allows you to use rechangeable batteries in all devices, even if they have been designed for normal alkaline batteries only.
Have you every tried to use rechargeable batteries on your digital camera? The most of common cameras producers strictly suggest the usage of Alkaline batteries for their devices. What happens is you use rechargeable batteries instead? The most of you will probably already know: after a couple of hours, you could get boring "low battery" warning... with the risk of a sudden shut down. Why?
The problem is that the nominal voltage of Alkaline batteries is about 1.5V, but rechargeable batteries have a nominal voltage of about 1.2V: 20% less!
Some cameras have internal boosters for stepping-up the main power supply, some cameras do not.
Please, note that this is a common problem for all electronic devices (mp3 player, wireless keyboards and mouses, cameras, joypad, cordless phone, ...).

How RBB works
The RBB is a small roll - AA sized - with the shape of a normal battery.
Inside the roll you can put your rechargeable AAA battery (NiMH or NiCd): the booster will use the internal battery to generate a clean and steady 1.5V voltage.
